Quarry Hints
[edit | edit source]

The early puzzles in the Quarry have multiple solutions. If the rule isn't clear to you, try experimenting with different solutions. Take note of what works and what doesn't and, most importantly, ask yourself why.

  • Hint 1: Deleted: The weird symbol on each panel can subtract one rule from a board.
  • Hint 2: Tricky Tetris: The piece on the right in the Tetris door puzzle is a hint about the pieces' placement.
  • Hint 3: Tricky Tetris 2: You already know that the piece on the right can't possibly be... well, on the right. You also can't rotate or mirror it. So -- have you tried reversing the placement?
  • Hint 4: Puzzles that look like devices: If a puzzle looks like a ramp, its position will mirror the ramp. If a puzzle controls a stairway, it'll look like a...
  • Hint 5: Elevator action: Yes, there's a reason why you can ride the elevator up and down. You can actually solve a puzzle WHILE riding it.

Spoiler warning! The screenshots below contain solutions for every puzzle in the area.

Quarry Solutions[edit | edit source]

Part 1 (Quarry)
[edit | edit source]

There are two ways to reach the Quarry: through the Shady Trees forest or through two locked doors. If you're approaching from the doors, here are the solutions:

1 - Open Door 1.jpg
2- Open Door 2.jpg

Head down into the Quarry and around to the giant garage facing the water. Input the solutions to open it.

3 - Open Garage.jpg

Once inside, use this solution on the control panel to raise the ramp.

4 - Raise Ramp.jpg

Solve the sequence of puzzles at the top of the ramp.

5 - Puzzles 1.jpg

In the past, it's been impossible to solve puzzles with black hexagon dots without collecting all of them, but you'll notice something different here. Now it's okay to skip one dot as long as it isn't walled off from this weird new symbol. The symbol, or "Elimination Mark" as some call it, effectively deletes one rule from the board. But it can only delete one, so keep that in mind before we move on.

6 - Raise Elevator.jpg

You'll notice that solving the above sequence of puzzles activates this control panel for a small lift. Ride it up and take the walkway around until you find another control panel.

7 - Drop Stairs.jpg

This one lets you drop a set of stairs down back to the ground floor, so you won't have to take that slow lift again.

8 - Sequence 1.jpg

This next sequence of puzzles teaches you that the symbol can eliminate any rule from the board, not just dots. It also works on squares of any color. Completing this set activates a couple panels in the control room to your left, so head in there next.

9 - Single Puzzle 1.jpg
10 - Single Puzzle 2.jpg

These puzzles are important. Solving one turns on an elevator outside and solving another unlocks one of the metal latches blocking the panel to activate the Quarry laser.

11 - First Panel Uncovered.jpg

You need to unlatch the other side now. You'll notice there are two wires connected to the panel, and one runs down the side of the cliff and over to that logging building by the water.

12 - Elevator Working 1.jpg

If you want try out that elevator, now's a good time!

13 - Elevator Working 2.jpg

This is the path to make the elevator go down. It's pretty slow, but if you don't want to run all the way from the Quarry to the Desert Ruins, this is a good way to cut through.

You aren't going to the Desert Ruins, though, you're going to the logging facility. Once you're off the elevator, cross the stream and head over.

Part 2 (Logging Facility)[edit | edit source]

LoggingFacility1.jpg

Once inside the logging facility, head down the stairs on the right and solve the following two puzzles:

14 - Activate Logging Ramp.jpg

These puzzles activate the ramp back up the stairs. Input this path to raise the ramp:

15 - Raise Ramp.jpg

At the top of the ramp is another set of puzzles. These ones introduce the combination of the upside-down Y symbol and Tetris blocks.

16 - Sequence Lower Barrier.jpg

As you can see, you can skip out on forming one of the shapes as long as it shares the same space as the Elimination Mark.

Completing this set of puzzles lowers the barrier to your left, so you can continue down the walkway, where you'll find a control panel.

17 - Move Ramp.jpg

Input this path to move the ramp to the back of the logging facility, closer to the water. Make sure to hop onto the ramp as it makes its way over so you can get across the second barrier and access the walkway on the other side of the room.

18 - Sequence 2-1.jpg
19 - Sequence 2-2.jpg

This long sequence of puzzles introduces a combination of the Elimination Mark and suns. If there's an odd number of suns, you can use the symbol to delete the odd one out.

Finishing up this set activates the final few puzzles in the logging facility.

20 - Sequence 3.jpg

Finish this to light up the wire that runs the length of the Quarry

The logging facility in the quarry has a puzzle that allows you to move the crane that hangs from the roof. This crane is involved in one environmental puzzle.

21 - Activate Laser.jpg

Input the above solution to activate the Quarry laser.
